LAGP Investigations
Sherman Oaks Apartment

Sherman Oaks Apartment

A friend of a friend put the LAGP in touch with the landlord of a small Sherman Oaks apartment complex. The landlord was perplexed by tenants repeatedly moving out of a specific second floor unit. The two women who had been living there last broke their lease and moved out suddenly in mid-January, insisting that the apartment was haunted. They reported hearing footsteps and a male voice speaking their names, [...]

The Magic Castle

The Magic Castle

On August 25th, the LAGP team ventured into one of the more exclusive private clubs in Los Angeles, a club dedicated to fostering the ancient art of magic: the world famous Magic Castle. Open to guests of member magicians or those lucky enough to be given a one-night pass, the Magic Castle offers dinner and magic shows in three different theatres – the Palace of Mystery, the Parlour of Prestidigitation [...]

Devil's Gate: A Portal to Hell?

Devil’s Gate: A Portal to Hell?

The last Friday in April, the LAGP packed up our gear, jumped in the ghost mobile and headed out to La Cañada/Pasadena area to investigate the infamous Devil’s Gate Dam. Why I’m calling this location infamous is a bit of a history lesson, so read on. Devil’s Gate is named for the appearance of a horned devil face in a narrow canyon of the Arroyo Seco, a natural riverbed flowing [...]

Propaganda Films Building

Propaganda Films Building

In mid-March, we were fortunate to be able to investigate the historic former Propaganda Films building in Hollywood. Movie buffs will recognize Propaganda as the early home of music video & commercial directors turned major filmmakers David Fincher, Michael Bay and Spike Jonze, among others. Today the building is used by a production company as a workshop and studio. Carol did some research into the building and discovered that the [...]

Pasadena’s Suicide Bridge

Pasadena’s Suicide Bridge

After a crazy week at work, what better way to lift our collective spirits than to head over to Pasadena to investigate the infamous Colorado Street Bridge, which is locally known as Suicide Bridge due to the hundred or so people who have jumped from it to their deaths below. It was a chilly night and Carol had brought along some hot tea.  Also joining us was our friend Lenora, [...]

Linda Vista Hospital

Linda Vista Hospital

Last Friday night the LAGP team ventured into the haunted hallways of the famed Linda Vista Hospital.  Located southeast of downtown LA in what can best be described as a dangerous neighborhood, we were given a 15 minute window to arrive and be let in the locked chain link gates surrounding the property.  I don’t know which was more frightening:  the prospect of the night’s investigation or this warning! Linda [...]

Your Ghost Stories & Paranormal Experiences

  • Man In The Mirror

Submitted by Hayden B from Los Angeles. On Wednesday, Aug 21, 2013, I was at the Hollywood/Vine subway. It was 9:30 in the morning – and I had just disembarked. There are 3 places to get/refill Tap cards and I needed to add money to mine. No one was standing by them – so I took the center one. Each of them comes with a small mirror – like ATM’s do – so you can see what’s going on behind you, albeit in a limited capacity. After a moment, the mirror shows a man walk up behind me. He stands [...]

  • Dark shadow man

Submitted by Josh Houseman from PA. Well I’ve seen a shadow like figure . I saw his figure running with a white shadow behind him, and I know it was real cause my cat was chasing it. Another time I went outside yelling COME ON, SHOW YOURSELF IM NOT AFRAID OF YOU! And then 9 of them all around me yelled at me to run. I didn’t and I told no one.

  • The Jogger

Submitted by TT from Wenonah NJ. Around 8 years ago me and a couple of friends use to go to a lot of different places. This night we just went to the local cemetery. This is a big cemetery, and we just stared to walk around and snap pictures to see if anything out of the ordinary came up. We saw a few, what we thought were orbs in the pictures. That didn’t freak us out at all. We were in the back corner of the cemetery, walking on the road that allowed cars to get to the back of [...]

  • Haunted Holy Cross
    Haunted Holy Cross

Submitted by Scott Spencer from Killeen, TX. On January 28, I went out to Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Culver City to take some pics of some celebrity graves. I got pictures of the graves of Sharon Tate, Bing Crosby, Bela Lugosi, Rita Hayworth, Rosalind Russell and wanted to get pictures of several others. As I was searching (in vain) for the grave of Mr. Jimmy Durante, I happened to look to my left and I saw, standing about 30 yards away, a young man who looked to be in his late 20′s gazing at me. It was around Noon. He was a white male, about 5′ [...]
